Decline a booking request

If you can't accommodate a booking request, decline it before the response deadline so the couple knows where things stand. You can include a message to explain your decision or suggest another date.

Decline the request

  1. Go to Messages and open the conversation.
  2. Click or tap Show booking, or Details on mobile.
  3. Click or tap Decline.
  4. Enter why you're declining. This reason is shared only with Your Wedding Atlas, not the client.
  5. Add an optional message to the client if you'd like.
  6. Click or tap Decline request.

Your optional message appears in the conversation. It is separate from the private reason you provide to Your Wedding Atlas.

After you decline

The request is marked as declined, but you can continue messaging the couple. Declining a request isn't the same as cancelling a booking that has already been accepted.

If your availability changes, discuss the details in Messages and use the available proposal action to invite the client to book. For a request that's already expired, read what to do after a booking request expires.
