Bellwood Blooms was founded by Ruth Laurie in 2017. Ruth is a Toronto native, entrepreneur and doting mother to her son Parker. When she is not at the flower market or dreaming up ideas for her next floral event, she is nature bathing on walks through High Park, or doing regular mom things like grocery shopping, folding laundry and playing with Lego. After seven years of operating Bellwood Blooms as a wedding and events floral company and flower shop in The Junction, Ruth has partnered up with her friends Michael, Corrie and Raphi at Tonic Blooms – Toronto’s most trusted on demand florist. As of January 2024, Bellwood Blooms and Tonic Blooms now work in partnership, with Ruth taking on the role of Wedding & Events Manager at Tonic Blooms. Together we will continue to inspire and offer our signature garden inspired floral designs while defining Toronto’s wedding and event floral industry.
