Your proposal shows the service price, any applicable taxes, and the total to review before accepting. Tax amounts can vary between bookings based on the vendor's tax settings and the details used to calculate the booking.
How taxes are shown on your booking
Review the price before accepting
Open the vendor's proposal in Messages and review its price details. For new proposals, the vendor enters a service price before tax, and applicable taxes are shown separately.
The price you saw in search or on a package is a starting price, not necessarily the final proposal total. Review the services, agreed price, taxes, currency, and payment schedule together.
Add your billing details
If the proposal asks for billing information, add your billing address and return to review the updated amounts. The proposal can't be accepted while the required tax calculation is incomplete.
If the displayed details don't look right, message the vendor about the agreed service price or contact support about the calculation before paying. Don't change your address to a different location simply to change a tax amount.
Taxes on split payments and receipts
When a booking uses a deposit and remaining balance, review the amount of each payment as well as the booking total. The final checkout amount is shown before you submit each payment.
After a payment succeeds, you can get your booking receipt. Older bookings may retain a different price or tax presentation. Updating your account details doesn't automatically rewrite an accepted booking's saved amounts or previous receipt records.
