If your booking payment is overdue

An overdue payment has passed its due date without being completed. Open your booking to check the amount, the payment action, and any final deadline. The consequences depend on which payment is unpaid.

If your initial payment is overdue

For new proposals, the deposit or full initial payment is due within 7 days of acceptance, or before the start of the booking date if sooner. If it remains unpaid, the booking enters an overdue state.

There's normally a further 48-hour grace period after the initial payment deadline. If payment still hasn't succeeded, the booking is cancelled automatically. This grace period never extends beyond the start of the booking date.

The booking isn't confirmed while its initial payment is unpaid. A vendor doesn't need to send another proposal simply because that payment has become overdue.

If your remaining balance is overdue

For new split-payment proposals, the remaining balance is due 14 days before the booking date. If you miss that date, pay through the booking as soon as possible and check the final deadline shown.

The initial-payment 48-hour grace period isn't the remaining-balance rule. If the required balance remains unpaid at the start of the booking date, the booking is cancelled automatically, subject to the handling of a bank payment already processing.

The vendor isn't required to provide services under a booking cancelled for nonpayment. Any money already paid is handled under the cancellation policy saved with the booking and the Booking Cancellation and Refund Policy.

If a bank payment is processing or has failed

A bank payment already processing isn't treated as ordinary nonpayment while its result is outstanding. Check whether you need to complete verification or wait for the result.

If it fails, follow the recovery deadline shown in your booking. A bank-failure recovery window doesn't extend beyond the start of the booking date.

Make an overdue payment

Go to Messages, open the conversation, and click or tap Show booking, or Details on mobile. Use the payment action shown and complete checkout.

Older bookings may have different saved schedules. Use your booking's actual dates rather than applying these new-proposal rules retrospectively. If it's already cancelled, message the vendor and contact support as needed; paying outside Your Wedding Atlas doesn't restore it.
