When you create a booking payment request, you decide whether applicable fees are included in the customer’s total.
This choice affects the amount the customer pays and the amount you receive. Review the payment breakdown before sending the request.
When you include fees
Turn on Include fees if you want the customer’s total to cover the applicable platform fee and, where applicable, the foreign-currency settlement fee.
Enter the amount you want to receive. Your Wedding Atlas adjusts the customer’s total so that, after applicable fees are deducted, your proceeds match the amount you entered.
For example, if you want to receive $100 and the 6.5% platform fee applies, the customer’s total is adjusted to cover the fee. The exact amount may vary slightly because of currency rounding.
When you do not include fees
Turn off Include fees if you want the customer to pay the exact amount you enter.
Applicable fees are deducted from that payment amount before your earnings are calculated.
For example, if a customer pays $100 and the 6.5% platform fee applies, the platform fee is $6.50 and you earn $93.50.
If a foreign-currency settlement fee applies
If your booking currency differs from your connected payout account’s settlement currency, the payment breakdown also includes the foreign-currency settlement fee.
When Include fees is on, the customer’s total includes both applicable fees. When it is off, both fees are deducted from the payment amount.
Before you send the request
Check the payment breakdown to confirm:
- The total the customer will pay.
- The platform fee.
- Any foreign-currency settlement fee.
- Your expected proceeds.
- The deposit amount and remaining-payment schedule, if applicable.
