Platform fees for vendor bookings

Learn when Your Wedding Atlas charges its platform fee, how it is calculated, and how it affects the amount you receive from a booking payment.

Your Wedding Atlas charges a platform fee when you receive a booking payment through the Platform. The fee helps support payment processing, booking tools, messaging, and the services used to manage bookings.

The platform fee

The standard platform fee is 6.5% of each booking payment collected through Your Wedding Atlas.

The fee is calculated separately for each payment in a booking’s payment schedule. For example, if a couple pays a deposit and later pays the remaining balance, the applicable fee is calculated on each payment when it is collected.

Choose whether to include the fee in the customer’s total

When you create a payment request, you can choose whether to include applicable fees in the customer’s total package price.

If you include fees, the customer’s payment is adjusted so you receive the amount you entered, after applicable fees are deducted.

If you do not include fees, the fee is deducted from the amount the customer pays.

For example, if the customer pays $100 and you do not include fees, the 6.5% platform fee is $6.50 and you earn $93.50.

Payment processing fees

Your Wedding Atlas pays the standard payment-processing fees charged for card payments processed through the Platform. We do not add a separate payment-processing fee to the customer’s booking total or deduct one separately from your booking proceeds.

The standard fee breakdown shown when you create a payment request includes the 6.5% platform fee and, when applicable, the 2% foreign-currency settlement fee. Review the payment breakdown before sending the request to see the customer’s total and your expected proceeds.

Foreign-currency settlement fees

An additional foreign-currency settlement fee may apply when the booking is charged in a currency that differs from your connected payout account’s settlement currency. Learn more about Foreign-currency settlement fees for vendor bookings.

Review your payment breakdown

Before you send a payment request, you can review the customer’s total, applicable fees, and the amount you will receive. After a payment is collected, the booking’s payment details show the recorded amount and fee information.

Fees are calculated using the terms that apply when the payment request is created. Changes to fees do not change an existing payment plan.
