Safety tips for vendors when communicating with clients

Before agreeing to a booking, make sure you understand the request and are comfortable with the arrangements. You can ask questions or decline a request you can't accommodate.

Agree on the arrangements

Use Messages to discuss the date, services, location, and price. Keep material arrangements in the conversation and agreement. For a consultation or site visit, agree on a suitable location and let a colleague or someone you trust know your plans.

Check requests involving money

Be cautious if a client asks you to pay another supplier, return an overpayment elsewhere, or open an unfamiliar link to receive money. Check payment updates in your account rather than relying on a screenshot claiming a payment succeeded.

The client completes their own payment through Your Wedding Atlas. You don't need their password, sign-in code, or full payment details. Read about suspicious messages and payment requests.

Raise a concern

If a conversation becomes threatening, inappropriate, or suspicious, keep the relevant messages and contact support. You don't need to continue discussing the request while seeking help.

For an existing booking, review its status and cancellation terms separately. Reporting a concern does not itself cancel the booking.
