What to include in your booking proposal

A proposal should make the booking easy to review: the client should understand what they're booking, the date, and the amount they will pay before accepting.

Agree on the details first

Use Messages to confirm the services, location, quantities or coverage, and any important conditions. Check your other commitments before sending a proposal. Dates aren't automatically blocked to prevent overlapping bookings.

Review the proposal

Check the booking date, service subtotal before tax, deposit if available, payment schedule, cancellation policy, and estimated earnings. Include your agreement if you want the client to sign it when accepting.

The proposal form shows amounts before tax. The final tax calculation uses your saved tax settings and the client's billing details; the client reviews the total before accepting.

Open Messages, choose the conversation, then Show booking, or Details on mobile, to open the invitation card. If you're responding to a client's booking request, Accept opens the proposal; it does not confirm the booking.

Check the displayed payment schedule rather than giving the client a different deadline in a message. See proposal pricing and including an agreement.

After sending

The client must accept and complete the required first payment before the booking is confirmed. Follow the status in the conversation rather than treating a sent or accepted proposal as a paid booking.
