Booking Payments and Payouts Terms

Last updated: November 1, 2026

These Booking Payments and Payouts Terms (“Payments Terms”) govern payments and payouts for vendor bookings made through Your Wedding Atlas. They form part of our Terms of Service (“Terms”).

Read these Payments Terms together with our Terms of Service, Booking Cancellation and Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy. Your booking's cancellation policy determines refund eligibility, subject to the Booking Cancellation and Refund Policy and applicable law.

1. About these Payments Terms

1.1 Who these terms apply to

A person or business that books or pays for a vendor's services is a “Booker.” A person or business that offers services and receives booking payments is a “Vendor.” These Payments Terms apply to both roles. They do not govern Pro subscription charges, which are covered by the Terms and the Vendor Plan Cancellation and Refund Policy.

1.2 Our role and Stripe's services

Your Wedding Atlas provides booking and payment tools. The Vendor provides the wedding services, and any service agreement is between the Vendor and the Booker.

Payments are processed through Stripe Connect. Stripe's applicable terms and payment-method rules also apply. Vendors must comply with the applicable Stripe Connected Account Agreement (opens in a new tab). These Payments Terms do not replace your agreement with Stripe.

1.3 Related terms and policies

These Payments Terms supplement the Terms and govern the booking-payment matters described here. The Booking Cancellation and Refund Policy governs cancellation outcomes and refund eligibility. The Electronic Records and Signature Consent applies to electronic signing. Nothing in these documents excludes rights or obligations that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Bookings introduced through Your Wedding Atlas, and independently sourced bookings you choose to arrange through a Platform proposal, must be paid through the Platform as set out in Section 2.7 of the Terms. See Keeping bookings and payments on Your Wedding Atlas for the scope and permitted activities. This does not authorize automatic collection of a fee or an unpaid balance.

1.4 Terms recorded for your booking

The payment schedule, fee terms, and cancellation policy recorded for your booking apply to that booking. Later changes to these Payments Terms or a Vendor's listing do not automatically replace those recorded terms. The payment schedule in Section 2.3 describes the rules for new proposals; an older booking may have different deadlines.

2. Paying for a booking

2.1 Reviewing and accepting a proposal

As a Booker, you are responsible for reviewing the service details, booking date, price, currency, taxes, payment schedule, cancellation policy, and any attached agreement before accepting a proposal. The Terms explain proposal acceptance and agreements sent for signing before or after acceptance.

Accepting a proposal does not automatically charge you. Under these Payments Terms, both parties become committed to the booking when the required initial payment succeeds and the booking is confirmed. Accepting a proposal or starting a payment, including a bank debit, does not by itself confirm the booking. Once confirmed, both parties must honour the recorded booking terms, subject to the applicable cancellation policy and law. The Terms explain how separate agreements relate to these confirmation conditions.

Before submitting a payment, check the amount and payment method shown on the final review screen. Contact the Vendor or support if they do not match the proposal you accepted.

2.2 Payment methods and authorization

Available payment methods depend on the country, booking currency, amount, Vendor eligibility, time before the booking, and Stripe's requirements. Delayed bank-debit methods are not offered when fewer than 14 calendar days remain before the booking date. Availability of a method does not guarantee that a payment will settle by a particular date.

You must own or be authorized to use your chosen payment method. By submitting a payment, you authorize the amount shown in checkout, subject to any additional confirmation required by your bank or payment provider. Complete any required authentication, bank verification, or payment mandate.

If you save a payment method, it may be available for a later eligible payment. Saving a method, accepting a proposal, or agreeing to these Payments Terms does not by itself authorize us to collect an unpaid balance, damages, or other additional charges automatically. Any bank mandate or authorization for a later payment must meet the applicable payment-method and legal requirements.

Do not send full card details, bank credentials, passwords, or verification codes through messages. A Stripe or bank verification screen opened from checkout is distinct from an unrelated request to pay outside the booking.

2.3 Payment schedules and deadlines

You are responsible for paying the amounts due under your booking's recorded schedule. Deadlines use the service time zone recorded for the booking, which may differ from your own time zone.

2.3.1 Deposits and full payments

Bookings 30 calendar days or fewer away when the proposal is created require one full payment. For bookings further away, the proposal may provide for a deposit and remaining balance. The amounts are shown in the proposal; the same deposit percentage does not apply to every booking.

The deposit or single full payment is due within seven calendar days after proposal acceptance, or before the booking date begins if sooner.

If the initial payment remains unpaid at its deadline, it becomes overdue. A further 48-hour grace period applies before automatic cancellation, unless the booking date begins sooner or either party cancels first. The booking remains pending and can be paid while it is active. Neither the payment deadline nor the grace period extends beyond the start of the booking date. Processing payments are addressed in Section 2.4.

2.3.2 Remaining balances

The remaining balance is due 14 days before the booking date. If unpaid after its deadline, it becomes overdue and can still be paid while the booking is active. If it remains unpaid when the booking date begins, the booking is automatically cancelled, subject to Section 2.4.

Refund eligibility following cancellation is determined by the cancellation policy recorded for your booking, subject to the Booking Cancellation and Refund Policy and applicable law.

2.4 Processing and failed payments

2.4.1 Payments still processing

A bank debit may remain processing for several days. While an existing payment is processing, we wait for its outcome before automatically cancelling the booking for nonpayment. We update the booking when the result is received. Processing does not guarantee that the payment will succeed or that the funds are available for payout.

2.4.2 Failed bank payments

If a bank payment fails, you have 48 hours to complete payment, unless the booking date begins sooner. This does not shorten an existing payment deadline or the initial-payment grace period. The recovery deadline is shown in your booking. If the booking date has already started, no recovery time may remain.

2.4.3 Required action and later reversals

If verification or another action is required, follow the instructions in your booking. A failed-payment notice does not mean that another charge will automatically be attempted. Notifications and payment-provider updates may arrive at different times; your booking shows the latest status available to us.

A payment may later be returned, reversed, or disputed, even after it has succeeded or been paid out. Such events may require an adjustment under the applicable payment-method rules.

3. Receiving payments and payouts

3.1 Payout account requirements

As a Vendor, you must maintain an eligible connected Stripe account linked to the relevant listing to accept booking payments and receive payouts. Complete the required onboarding, provide accurate business and payout information, and respond to requests for verification or additional information.

Eligibility to accept payments and eligibility to receive payouts are separate. Verification, restrictions, missing information, or a failed payout may affect one or both. Payout-account eligibility does not mean that Your Wedding Atlas has verified the quality of your services, licences, or insurance.

3.2 Booking fees

Vendors set their service prices. For new proposals, Vendors enter the service price before tax. Applicable booking fees are deducted from Vendor proceeds and are not automatically added to the Booker's price.

The standard platform fee is 6.5% of the service amount in each payment, excluding separately calculated booking taxes. An additional 2% foreign-currency settlement fee applies when the booking payment currency differs from the settlement currency recorded for your connected account. The fee terms recorded for your proposal and payment plan apply, as explained in Section 1.4.

The platform fee covers standard card-processing costs. It does not cover every refund, reversal, recovery amount, currency-conversion charge, or other payment-provider adjustment. For examples, see platform fees, foreign-currency settlement fees, and how booking fees affect your earnings.

3.3 Booking proceeds and bank payouts

Booking payments are processed through our Stripe platform for the Vendor's connected account, with applicable fees retained. This applies separately to deposits, remaining balances, and single full payments. A successful deposit does not need to wait for collection of the remaining balance to become eligible for payout. Funds transferred to your Stripe balance are distinct from a payout arriving in your bank account. Your Wedding Atlas does not provide an escrow service or hold booking payments until the booking date.

3.4 Payout timing

Stripe automatically sends eligible available funds to your payout method according to your connected account's payout schedule. Payout timing depends on the payment method, settlement period, available funds, country, currency, account status, Stripe's schedule and restrictions, and the receiving financial institution. We do not guarantee a particular arrival date. Manage your information from Payout methods and see when payouts are sent for more information.

4. Taxes and currency

4.1 Booking taxes

The Booker's total includes the service price and separately calculated booking taxes, where applicable. Your Wedding Atlas uses Stripe Tax, the Vendor's recorded tax settings, and relevant booking and billing details to calculate those taxes.

Vendors must complete the tax setup required for their payout account before sending a proposal. You must provide accurate business details, tax registrations, and applicable tax numbers, or confirm that you are not registered. Your declaration does not determine whether the law requires you to register.

Vendors remain responsible for determining their tax obligations, maintaining accurate settings, and completing required registration, reporting, filing, and remittance. Calculating and collecting a booking payment does not mean that Your Wedding Atlas files returns or remits the Vendor's taxes. Nothing in these Payments Terms removes a tax obligation that applicable law places on Your Wedding Atlas or another party.

Bookers must provide accurate billing information when requested and review the tax breakdown before accepting a proposal or making a payment. Tax amounts collected with a payment are not additional service earnings. Changes to a Vendor's tax settings do not, by themselves, revise an existing booking's tax records or refund adjustments.

4.2 Payment currency and conversion

The payment currency is shown before you pay. Changing your display-currency preference does not change the currency charged. The foreign-currency settlement fee described in Section 3.2 is not an exchange-rate quote. Your bank or payment provider may apply its own conversion or foreign-transaction charges. Rounding may produce small differences between individual payments.

5. Cancellations and refunds

The Booking Cancellation and Refund Policy explains Booker, Vendor, and automatic cancellations, including applicable refund percentages. Read it together with the cancellation policy recorded for your booking. These Payments Terms do not provide additional refund protection or insurance.

5.1 Refund eligibility

Refund eligibility and amounts are determined under the cancellation policy recorded for the booking, the Booking Cancellation and Refund Policy, and applicable law. Vendor fee adjustments and amounts owed are addressed separately in Section 6.

5.2 Refund processing

When a refund is due, we initiate it through Stripe against the original payment. Cancelling a booking and completing a refund are separate events. A refund may remain pending or under review after the booking is cancelled.

A bank payment still in progress must be reconciled when its result is received, including when cancellation was requested before that result arrived.

6. Payment disputes and amounts owed

6.1 Reporting a payment problem

If a payment, refund, fee, or payout appears incorrect, contact support through the Help Centre. Provide the booking confirmation code and describe the issue without including full payment credentials. Nothing in these Payments Terms prevents a legitimate dispute with your bank or payment provider or limits a remedy that cannot be waived under applicable law.

6.2 Disputes and supporting records

We review payment questions using the relevant booking and payment records. Any applicable refund or payment adjustment is processed through Stripe. Stripe processes payments and payment disputes; it does not decide whether a Vendor has fulfilled every obligation under a service agreement.

Stripe may debit disputed booking payments and dispute fees from Your Wedding Atlas, including when the payment is designated for a Vendor. That initial debit does not determine the Vendor's responsibility for applicable amounts under the booking terms, Stripe arrangements, and law. Vendors must reasonably cooperate with requests for relevant booking, service, agreement, cancellation, and payment records.

6.3 Vendor adjustments and recovery

A refund to a Booker and an adjustment to a Vendor's balance are separate calculations. A full refund to the Booker does not necessarily return the Vendor's platform fees. Vendors remain responsible for applicable amounts arising from their bookings or conduct, including refunds, reversals, disputes, transfer shortfalls, and cancellation-related adjustments, as provided by the recorded terms, applicable Stripe arrangements, and law.

Where those terms, arrangements, and law permit, amounts owed may be recovered from connected-account funds or withheld from later booking proceeds or payouts. An amount may remain owed if it cannot be recovered when a refund is issued. Contact support if you believe an adjustment is incorrect. These recovery provisions do not authorize us to charge a Booker's saved payment method for an unrelated amount.

The earnings displayed for a booking describe that booking only. Showing zero earnings after cancellation does not cancel a separate amount owed by the Vendor.

7. Payment records and privacy

7.1 Records and personal information

We keep payment and related records to operate booking-payment features, reconcile transactions, address disputes, and meet applicable obligations, as described in the Privacy Policy.

If you sign an agreement, the Electronic Records and Signature Consent also applies. Signing an agreement, authorizing a payment, and choosing marketing preferences are separate actions.

7.2 Receipts

A receipt records a payment and may remain available after cancellation or a refund. It does not establish that the payment is non-refundable or that the services have been delivered.

8. Changes and contact information

8.1 Changes to these Payments Terms

We may update these Payments Terms for future use of booking-payment features, with notice or additional acceptance where required. An update does not automatically replace an existing booking's recorded payment schedule, fee terms, or cancellation policy. The Terms explain changes to our agreement with you.

8.2 Contacting us
