Check whether you’re ready to accept booking payments

Before you send a booking proposal, your listing needs a payout account that's eligible to accept payments and completed tax settings. Receiving a payout in your bank is a separate step from accepting a booking payment.

Check your payout account

Open Payout methods and follow the action shown:

  • Add payouts: start or continue setting up your account.
  • Review account: check for outstanding information or a review in progress.
  • Resolve payout setup: open the account and complete the available steps.
  • Manage payouts: review your saved account and payout information.

The page explains whether you can accept payments while a review is underway. An account may be able to accept payments before it's eligible to send payouts. Neither status guarantees a bank arrival date.

Check the listing connection

The proposal must use a payout account linked to the listing you're booking. If the proposal asks you to set up or review payouts, follow that prompt, even if you've previously completed setup for another listing or account.

See how to set up your payout account or update your information.

Complete your tax settings

Open Tax settings and finish your submission or confirm that you're not registered to collect tax. Adding a tax number alone doesn't necessarily complete setup.

Return to the conversation and try creating your proposal again. If it's still unavailable, check why you can't send a booking proposal.
