If a message or payment request doesn't seem right, check it before responding or sending money. A familiar name or logo isn't enough to show that a request is genuine.
Recognize suspicious messages and payment requests
Signs to look out for
Be cautious if someone asks you to:
- Pay by gift card, cryptocurrency, or a transfer outside the booking's payment flow.
- Share a password, sign-in code, or full payment details in a message.
- Open an unfamiliar link to verify your account or receive money.
- Refund an overpayment to another person or pay a supplier on their behalf.
- Act immediately without time to review the request.
Check the request in your account
Open Your Wedding Atlas directly rather than following an unfamiliar link. Review the conversation in Messages and open Show booking, or Details on mobile, to check a booking payment.
Keep booking payments in the booking's payment flow. See keeping bookings and payments on Your Wedding Atlas and recognising suspicious emails and websites.
Report a suspicious request
Don't send money or sensitive information while you're unsure. Report the message to support with the conversation link. If you've already sent money or shared payment details, contact your bank or payment provider promptly as well.
