Why you have 48 hours to respond

A timely response helps a couple know whether they can move forward with your services or need to consider another vendor. When they request to book, you have up to 48 hours to send a proposal or decline.

Check your response deadline

Open the conversation in Messages and check the time remaining on the request. If the booking date begins before the 48 hours are up, the request expires at the start of that date in the booking's service time zone.

Use the deadline shown in the conversation, especially for short-notice bookings.

What counts as a response

You can complete your response by:

  • Clicking or tapping Accept, preparing the proposal, and clicking or tapping Send booking offer.
  • Clicking or tapping Decline and completing the decline form.

Sending a message or opening the proposal doesn't resolve the request or extend its deadline. If you need more information, ask the couple promptly and complete one of these actions before time runs out.

If the deadline passes

The request expires and its Accept and Decline actions are no longer available. You can still discuss the booking in Messages. See what to do if a booking request expires.

This is the response deadline for a couple's booking request, not a 48-hour deadline for every ordinary inquiry or message.
