A clearer path from inquiry to confirmed booking

Planning with a vendor should not mean piecing together messages, agreements, payment details, and important dates across different places. This update brings more of that journey together in Your Wedding Atlas, from the first inquiry through to a confirmed booking.

Couples can now contact vendors directly through the app and keep the conversation, booking details, optional agreement, and payment progress together in one place. Vendors can review each request, respond to availability, and manage the next steps without moving the conversation elsewhere.

What’s new

  • Message a vendor directly

    • Couples can start an inquiry from a vendor’s listing and share the details that matter, such as their wedding date, guest count, and what they are looking for.
    • The inquiry opens a private conversation between the couple and vendor, giving both sides one place to ask questions and discuss the celebration.
    • Vendors can review the request and confirm whether they are available before a booking moves forward.
  • A more useful inbox

    • Conversations are easier to review, with unread filtering and message search.
    • Search can find a word or phrase from a past message and show the relevant part of that conversation.
    • Booking updates now appear alongside the conversation they relate to, so important next steps are easier to spot.
  • A clearer booking journey

    • After a vendor confirms availability, the inquiry can move into a booking.
    • Both sides can follow the booking progress from the same conversation, rather than relying on a separate chain of emails.
    • The conversation makes it clear whether the booking is waiting for an agreement, a payment, or is confirmed.
    • Couples can return to the conversation whenever they need to review the vendor, date, booking status, or next step.
  • Optional agreements for vendors and couples

    • Vendors can send a PDF agreement from the booking conversation when they need one.
    • The vendor reviews the document, enters their legal name, and agrees to use an electronic signature before sending it.
    • Couples can open the agreement, read it in a separate tab, and sign by entering their legal name and agreeing to use an electronic signature.
    • Once both sides have signed, the document stays attached to the booking as the signed version. If changes are needed before signing, the vendor can withdraw it and send a new agreement.
    • Agreements are optional. A vendor can still manage a booking without sending one.
  • Payments and booking confirmation in the same flow

    • Once a vendor is ready to proceed, the couple can pay through the booking conversation to confirm the booking.
    • A booking can include an initial payment and a remaining balance, with each amount and due date shown clearly.
    • Payment requests, completed payments, and upcoming balances stay connected to the booking instead of getting lost in messages.
    • Couples receive reminders when a payment needs attention, and both sides can see when the booking is confirmed, cancelled, or needs action.
    • If a required payment is not completed by its deadline, the booking may be cancelled so availability is not held indefinitely.

How it works

  1. A couple finds a vendor and sends an inquiry. They can introduce themselves and share their wedding details directly from the vendor’s listing.
  2. The vendor reviews availability. The vendor can accept the inquiry and continue planning, or decline if they are unavailable.
  3. The conversation becomes the shared booking space. Both sides can continue messaging while they work through the details.
  4. The vendor can send an agreement if one is needed. Both parties review and sign the same document before it becomes the signed version for that booking.
  5. The couple completes the required payment. Payment progress and any remaining balance stay visible in the booking.
  6. The booking is confirmed. Both the couple and vendor can return to the conversation to see the confirmed status and their shared booking details.

A better experience for both sides

For couples, the goal is a simpler way to keep track of what is happening with a vendor. For vendors, it is a more organized way to move from an inquiry to a confirmed booking without losing the conversation along the way.

We will keep refining the booking experience as more vendors and couples use it.
